My lab is focused on understanding sex differences in human biology. Some of the most striking differences between the sexes are related to immune function, but there is little known about how the most fundamental genetic difference in our species plays a role in these differences. As an investigator at Duke, I am hoping to integrate with the MISM network to establish collaborations and investigate at a systems level how genes, hormones, and environments play a role in human immune function and response to infectious disease.
