Research Program Manager, Duke
Griffin Woolley, MPH, MS, Project Manager, provides ongoing logistical support for the MISM Administrative Core. He received an MPH in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from Tufts University and an MS in Biohazardous Threat Agents and Emerging Infectious Diseases from Georgetown University. Griffin’s laboratory experience includes tissue processing and flow cytometry, contributing to the identification of adaptive NK cell-specific gene signatures in livers. His current roles at Duke University involve managing operational laboratory policies and procedures, overseeing teams of technical and professional staff, analyzing research data, preparing reports and publications, providing fiscal oversight, and representing the institution to external stakeholders. Griffin has served in this capacity within the Duke Center for Human Systems Immunology for four years and will assist with all aspects of MISM coordination, scientific management, and liaison among the projects and cores. He provides overall logistical support for the MISM Administrative Core, with responsibilities that include facilitating progress tracking, pilot grant review, community development, budget management, communications, and events planning. He will work directly with Drs. Chan and Reeves to assist with organizing datasets, preparing manuscripts, establishing DUAs, managing meetings, and executing the solicitation, review, award, tracking, and reporting of Opportunity Fund projects.
