Lauren Anderson, PhD, Director of Research Development, has over 23 years of experience in the administration and execution of biomedical research, including 14 years in basic and translational research labs, developing and characterizing animal models of human disease, and testing targeted therapeutics. For over 12 years, Dr. Anderson has worked with investigators to develop proposals, manage timelines, and lead multidisciplinary, multi-institutional teams, including coordinating events, identifying collaborators and resources to ensure timely project completion, and communicating with sponsors, administrative contacts, and scientific contacts. 

Dr. Anderson serves in a similar capacity for the MISM Administrative Core. She also works with the MISM Community Development and Education Core to run the application process for the Opportunity Fund awards.
