Senior Biostatistician, Duke
Richard Barfield, PhD, Senior Biostatistician, directs the biostatistics and bioinformatics staff teams for the Center for Human Systems Immunology and Center for AIDS Research at Duke University. He received his PhD from Harvard University in 2017 and his MPH from Emory University in 2012. Dr. Barfield is highly experienced in analyzing immunological and infectious disease studies. His past research involved working with DNA methylation microarray data and developing methods for summarizing Mendelian Randomization studies.
Dr. Barfield works closely with investigators to answer research questions related to the immune system or HIV/AIDS. He assists Dr. Xie in supervising students and postdocs for statistical and bioinformatics analyses and in preparing materials for workshops or seminars that Dr. Xie will develop in collaboration with the MISM Community Development and Education Core
