Director, NIH Standardized Organoid Modeling (SOM) Center

 

I am interested in joining the Multiscale Immune Systems Modeling Network because I believe understanding human disease requires connecting biology across scales, from molecular and cellular interactions to tissues, organs, and whole-body responses. As Director of the NIH Standardized Organoid Modeling (SOM) Center, I am particularly interested in integrating advanced human model systems, AI/ML, and quantitative approaches to develop more predictive and reproducible representations of human biology. The immune system is inherently multiscale, and addressing its complexity will require close collaboration across immunology, engineering, computational modeling, and data science. I see this Network as a unique opportunity to contribute to and learn from a multidisciplinary community working to advance mechanistic, human-relevant models that can accelerate discovery, improve therapeutic development, and strengthen the scientific foundations for next-generation biomedical research.
