The MISM’s Community Development and Education Core (CDEC) is the central hub for cultivating a national transdisciplinary workforce and fostering a robust scientific community dedicated to infectious and immune-mediated diseases (IID) modeling.
The Core's mission is to advance and integrate IID models across all biological scales by supporting a Community of Learning and a Community of Practice.
The CDEC ensures the next generation of researchers, including students, postdocs, and Early-Stage Investigators (ESI), receive the necessary skills, resources, and mentorship to succeed in IID research, providing skill advancement through national workshops, centralized career development resources, and access to leading experts.
